  About Me Your Fishing guide!

My name is John Young and I have been fishing my entire life, my earliest memories are fishing for Bluegill when I was about 5 Years old, I have made an attempt to fish everywhere I have ever gone, and over the past 30+ years I have massed a great deal of knowledge on the fishing subject ,some pretty good stories too.

I am married to Lesa for 18 years now (Wow) I have three Children; T.J. my oldest married Dawn and made me a Grandpa with the birth of there daughter Sariah this last Christmas, Cami My middle She's Going to college and working towards her future, and John III he's my
youngest and the one that wants to go fishing all the time, he may join as
the deckhand from time to time.  I spent quite a few years attempting different careers, I spent 12 years combined in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves, I have a Degree in Electronics from Idaho State Universty with a second in Laser Technology.  Working in the electronics field at Hewlett Packard offored a unique opportunity to fish alot

I decided in about 1993 that I wanted to share my experience and Knowledge with other people so I embarked on the process of opening a guide service.  I spent the next 2 years Fishing and attending Coast Guard classes at the Clatsop Community College in Astoria Oregon, and when I got the
required time on the Columbia I recieved My license from the U.S. Coast
Guard, I am currently hold a Master on inland waters 6 pack license, and in
the spring of 2002 I will move up to the "Near Coastal 6 Pack License" which
will allow us to fish up to 3 miles offshore and open up some nice Bottomfish and Salmon waters.

I started guiding professionally the spring 1995, and have been doing it every since, I cant imagine doing anything else, I enjoy the
company of all the clients I have met over the last few years and have developed some deep friendships with a few of them, it is my main goal to show each and every person that comes aboard my boat the best possible time I can!

In the future I hope to develop an Offshore program to fish For Salmon, Halibut, Bottomfish, Tuna and Sharks during the summer and focus on
the rivers for Sturgeon and Salmon in the fall-Spring.
